    Imphal-Dimapur-Guwahati bus service resumes after three years

    The Imphal-Dimapur-Guwahati bus service has restarted following a three-year suspension. Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh stated that the restoration of this route will enhance connectivity and aid in efforts to restore normalcy in the state.

    The bus service officially recommenced on August 21, 2026, and operated smoothly on August 22 as well. Over 200 passengers have utilised the service since its resumption.

    The states are implementing a 48-hour plan to move the vehicles stranded as a result of the disturbances. Authorities have also registered 15 FIRs in connection with the Shillong violence.
