RSS governing Assam, AGP leaders made valueless: Mahanta

Former Assam chief minister and AGP’s founding president Prafulla Kumar Mahanta has expressed his discontent at the current BJP led alliance government in Assam. In a party meeting at Tezpur, Mahanta said that it’s RSS who is governing the state instead of BJP.

Mahanta said that the AGP leaders and its workers have been made valueless just within the 100 days of BJP government.

The former CM continued to criticize its ally in the presence of several senior AGP leaders including present party president and agriculture minister in Sarbananda Sonowal’s cabinet, Atul Bora.

“The government has failed to control the price of essential commodities and cement in the state,” Mahanta said.

On settling the illegal migrants’ issue, he said that though the BJP government had promised, in reality nothing has been done.
